HBO’s Hemingway and Gellhorn

Owen Wilson was the quirky lead in Midnight in Paris, but admit it, the whole time you were starting straight into the good looks of Mr. Hemingway. Sadly, I don’t see a Woody Allen-directed sequel in the future. Thankfully, HBO has created a way to move past this hard time by the release of their new film, Hemingway and Gellhorn.

Martha Gellhorn Ernest Hemingway

The HBO original movie focuses on the tumultuous romance between Ernest Hemingway (played by Clive Owen) and war correspondent, Martha Gellhorn (played by Nicole Kidman).

The iconic affair went from Key West in 1939, to Spain’s civil war, to another war zone in Cuba to dramatically falling to pieces. The relationship was stormy, engulfing and passionate beyond belief–the perfect recipe for a Hollywood romance.

Hemingway and Gellhorn premiers on HBO on May 28, 2012 at 9PM.
